Meet Andrew Hopper
Andrew Hopper is the lead pastor of Mercy Hill Church in Greensboro, NC. Mercy Hill Church was launched in 2012 with a group of 30 faithful individuals, and by God’s grace, the church has seen rapid growth and sending. Mercy Hill is centered on the gospel and has a radical commitment to the nations. He is married to his wife, Anna, and they have four children

Every Christian knows what it means to be adopted. Once lost and without hope, we were spiritual orphans until God stepped in and welcomed us into his family. Through Christ, we’ve not only been restored but ignited with a passion for others.
Not everyone is called to adopt, and the goal of Pastor Andrew Hopper’s new book, Chosen: Building Your Family the Way God Builds His (releasing January 12, 2026), isn’t to guilt more Christians into adoption. Instead, Chosen seeks to awaken believers to the beauty of their own spiritual adoption. Only when we grasp God’s heart for us will our hearts begin to burn with passion for others. That’s the fuel we need to walk the long road of adoption and to support those who do the same.
